I understand that every person in our community deserves to be respected and safe. I will respect teachers, parents, & peers at all times. I will be respectful with my words and actions. I will not use inappropriate language, including profanity, bullying, sexual harassment or orientation, or other forms of negativity. *I will not hit, yell, fight, or use any other forms of violence or talk down to any community members, including myself. *I will confront my peers in peace about any disagreements and find solutions to problems, whether on my own or with the support of my teacher/parent.
I will not gossip about my peers to others. Gossip is talking about personal information, whether truthful or dishonest, about someone other than the person you are talking to. *If I have a question about someone in the class, I will ask them directly instead of talking about my thoughts of that person to someone else. Ask the source. *I will not disclose personal information about my peers online or via any form of technology.* Because I am not an adult, when my integrity has been compromised, all of my text messages, online information including social media shall be confiscated by parent/teacher as deemed necessary. *I will not use technology to say mean things that I would not say in person, including teasing in text messages or saying/doing any of the above behaviors via technology.
We are a No Cell Phone use program, including headphone/ear buds, unless they are needed for educational purposes. Students may bring personal items such as cell phones or laptops, provided they adhere to the following: items must not interfere with lessons or the classroom, electronics are not used in the classroom without prior teacher approval, cell phones must remain in backpacks, or in the phone baskets, and away from peer interaction; and cell phones & devices are not used for entertainment purposes. *The teacher may provide further instruction and may hold cell phones if a student is using it without prior consent or outside of the protocol. *Teachers may request that a child no longer bring personal items. *Arise is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items. *Electronic devices are to be used solely for educational purposes.
No weapons or items that can be used as a weapon may be brought on campus. ** This includes metal objects, sharp objects, survival knives, tools, lighters etc.
Use good judgment when choosing attire. Attire must be appropriate for biological gender and must not be revealing or offensive in any manner. No short shorts, exposed bellies/navels, spaghetti strap tank tops, or vulgar/inappropriate images on t-shirts. Shorts must be worn under skirts. Weather conscious clothing and durable shoes are highly recommended. Flip-flops can be hazardous and cause injuries; they are not recommended. *EVERYONE MUST ADHERE TO THE SAME MODEST DRESS CODE WHILE ON CAMPUS.
Participation is not optional. I understand that I must maintain 70% or higher in Arise Classes. In the event I cannot maintain 70% in a class, I will be dropped from the class, and will not get High School Credit. *It is the job of the student to be responsible for their work and assignment deadlines. *Students are required to bring a device that supports Google Classroom and all additional needs the course requires. *Students will be deducted participation points for not being prepared with required materials.
We are a small group, which includes young children, and we desire to protect our integrity, health, and innocence, as well as students. While we cannot control your actions outside of Arise, we require students to abstain from relationships while participating in the program. Students shall not engage in any form of romantic display while on campus.
I can only use Study Hall if I am registered for an Arise class. I must work on school assignments while in study hall, whether for Arise or another program. *Study hall is not for socializing. Students may not use the excuse "I'm done". We will supply additional activities to complete if you do not have anything to work on. *Using your phone to entertain yourself is not an option.
Once students are signed in for the day, they are not allowed to leave without parent permission. Parents must communicate with your teachers in the event you need to leave campus. Students may not leave for lunch or get items from their car, or for any other reason.
Arise understands that social media is ever present in our lives. Some members consider it valuable to their family, while others do not share that belief. To best serve all members, we ask that you only post pictures of yourself, and/or friends on social media if you have received permission from that family. If your images contain other students, and you did not receive permission from the parents or are unsure how they would feel about it, we ask that you not share those images on social media. This includes anyone in the background, even if you cover faces with stickers. Arise is a private Christian organization that upholds conservative values, including respecting our members’ privacy.
Students cannot attend without a water bottle and a complete lunch. This supports emergency needs; if we need to relocate, every student will have food and water. The snack bar hosts some lunch items, but they are not guaranteed to be stocked at all times, nor do they fulfill a complete lunch.
I understand that participating in AriseHomeSchool programs, recreation, and other activities is a privilege. Prior to my participation, although minimal, I acknowledge that risks are associated with classroom and outdoor play, including the possibility of physical injury from play-related activities. By signing this waiver, I understand the risks associated with participating in activities pertaining to AriseHomeSchool and warrant my ability to participate. I further release AHS staff, leaders, members, and volunteers from any claim that may arise and from any liability for accident, illness, or injury. ***Students attending that have had a recent injury (broken bone, stitches, sprained ankle, recovering concussion etc.) must use cautious behavior and judgment to prevent further injury. If a child behaves irresponsibly or recklessly in a way that may result in further or greater injury, you will need to recover at home and return when fully healed.
Students are to be aware, and acknowledge, this organization upholds the following beliefs. Its members may not teach any beliefs contrary to the beliefs of these statements while participating in AHS activities. We believe the Bible, composed of the Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired, infallible, and the authoritative Word of God. We believe God, the Creator of all, revealed Himself in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is eternal, infinite, and Sovereign. We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, God incarnate, God in Human form, who lived a sinless life, whose teachings are true, and that He died on a cross for all humanity, as a sacrifice and atonement for sin. His death is sufficient to provide salvation for all who receive and trust in Him as their Savior. We believe Jesus rose from the dead, ascended to Heaven, and sits at the right hand of God as our High Priest. AHS shall uphold these truths and Biblical teachings that uphold the Christian faith including the right to deny practices to any, and all members, that teach contrary to the Bible. Examples include, but are not limited to, the practice of homosexuality, gender confusion/identity, promotion of race or racist theories, or evolutionary theories. We believe humans are created in the image of God, both male and female. Our sexuality is a gift from God, offered back to Him in love. Transgenderism violates God’s design. We disagree with any theories that are contrary to foundational Christian doctrine. Our organization also affirms the structure of the family unity, containing a male father and a female mother.
