About Miss Karla

My name is Miss Karla. I have been teaching for 3 years. Before teaching, I was a nanny for about 10 years while I finished school. After acquiring my Bachelor’s in Psychology and 12 units in Early Childhood Education, I began teaching at a preschool. I taught there for 2 years and soon after was given the opportunity to teach at AriseHomeSchool. I am very blessed and excited to be teaching here. I love that Arise gives me the opportunity to integrate the Word of God in my teachings. I am committed to nurturing students growth, both academically and in their faith. I am passionate about education and about creating an environment where students feel comfortable exploring their questions and deepening their understanding of God’s love. My goal is to help students reach their highest potential. Outside of school, I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and lifting weights. I am excited for the year and to learn and grow along with my students!
