About Miss Heather

Hello, to all the families in Arise. My name is Heather Moran. It is my first year joining this homeschool program. I am very excited and looking forward to the new adventure the all of us will embark on together. 

Just to give a glimpse of myself, I am the oldest of 5 siblings and was homeschooled from 1st grade all the way to my senior year. I was born in Redlands; however, I have lived in the desert my whole life. Moving forward, I finished academics at home and pursued my degree in English Literature. I got my AA at College of the Desert and obtained my Bachelor of Arts at Cal State University San Bernardino. After that, I decided to go for my Master’s in English Arts which I finished in September of 2023 at National University based in La Jolla, California. During the time I attended the different colleges, I had worked at La Quinta, Costco for 5 years. I was a normal employee and moved my way up to becoming a supervisor for almost 3 of the years that I was with Costco. I just recently left Costco so I could pursue things that I went to school for.

The things I enjoy are reading, writing, escape rooms, and playing board games with my family. Also, coffee is something I love to drink. Some of my favorite places are Just Java and Vintage Coffee House. I also attend The Garden Fellowship where I serve in the Children’s Ministry. I love Jesus and look forward to pouring into the children you are entrusting me with.
