About Miss Alicia
Hello, my name is Miss Alicia. I’m a devoted wife, mother, and a follower of our Lord Jesus Christ. With one delightful child who attends Arise Homeschool, our journey with Arise began when my child joined the Hummingbirds class. I am incredibly grateful to Miss Sheila and the wonderful program she started, which has been a cornerstone of our homeschooling experience. I fell in love with the community and the support it offers. I volunteered on all our scheduled days and spent every day in class with my child. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for working with young children and felt a calling from God to help little ones in any way that I can. The Lord heard my prayers, and I was blessed with an opportunity to teach Transitional Kindergarten (TK) at AriseHomeSchool. What a blessing it has been! I left my career as a Real Estate Professional to pursue my passion for teaching. To support my professional career path, I am studying Early Childhood Education through the College of the Desert. The skills I mastered in real estate—such as developing and building relationships, effective communication, and adapting to different personality traits—will be invaluable in my classroom. I am committed to being a supportive resource for families as their children embark on their educational journey, ensuring a positive and nurturing start to their schooling experience. As a homeschool family, I understand the importance of community and collaboration in supporting our children’s education. I am truly honored to be part of the Arise Homeschool family and look forward to serving and supporting our wonderful community. A few fun facts about me: I have a special fondness for corgis, and I’m the owner of a very old pet tortoise. I love creating children’s activity and educational pages, and I’m always up for a road trip adventure! I strive to see the bright side of things. I believe that something good will come from every situation if we let God guide the way.
